Future Builders, Inc provided tutorial services to over 650 students from 1990 – 2003 in the Lifelong Learning Tutorial Program for students grades K through 6th focusing on building academic skills in reading, math, writing and creative arts. This is one of the cornerstone programs of the organization.
The Career Development/Job Placement Assistance Program started in 1990 and ended in 2003. The program assisted youth and adults with the proper skills necessary to seek desirable/suitable job placement. The program place placed 345 individuals in suitable employment. The Organization implemented a Resiliency/Life Skills Program at Eastview Terrace Education Program involved an array of services aimed at youth and adult residents in a low -income housing environment. Programs ranged from a Comprehensive Reading Program for K through third grade youth to adult GED, Computer Skills Training and Drug and Alcohol counseling and HIV Health Fairs. A partnership with the Arkansas Department of Corrections and the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation assisted the organization in the design, implementation and administration of "The Way Out" program for first time non-violent offenders in the Arkansas Boot Camp Program. This unique three-year program had a recidivism rate of less than 1%. The Boot Camp program is housed at the Department of Correction’s Wrightsville Unit. |
