The "It's Your Choice HIV Prevention and Awareness Program" is designed to inform at-risk populations of the dangers involved with risky sexual behaviors. The program targets youth and adults in Pulaski and surrounding counties. The goal is to provide HIV/AIDS prevention, education, counseling and testing services to the identified clientele.
The aim of the It’s Your Choice HIV Prevention Program is to reduce new HIV infections in Arkansas, increase the number of HIV tests in Pulaski County (Arkansas) based on CDC recommendations, increase the awareness and understanding of HIV and how it can be prevented, increase testing among those who may be HIV infected but do not know their sero-status and reduce the number of late testers, including those persons testing HIV-infected and simultaneously diagnosed with AIDS.
